NR-7S SPRAYABLE URETHANE

Product Description
Two component, aliphatic ether based coating systems with a Shore Hardness of 98A or 60 on the "D" scale. It is designed specifically for load release of sticky materials. Typical applications are vacuum truck bodies, snow plow blades, boats, tankers etc.

Flammability
Flash Point: None, Normac NR-7S MEK Part "A" is non-flammable in shipping, storage. The Part B is flammable with a Flash Point of -9oC.

1 hour plus, @ 21oC (70oF)

 

Volatile Organic Compound (V.O.C.)  
MEK has been removed from the “Hazardous Air Pollutants” list under EPA 70 FR 75047 however the EPA further states that, “Emissions of MEK will continue to be regulated as a volatile organic compound because of its contribution to the formation of ground-level ozone.” It is advised to consider local, state, provincial or federal laws pertaining to the application of solvent based coatings prior to use.

Application

 

Application
Normac NR-7S can be sprayed, brushed, rolled or dipped. Spraying is the preferred method of application using standard air or airless spray equipment. Spray nozzle sizes depend upon the article being sprayed, usual range or nozzle openings would be from 0.015 inches to 0.035".

Surface Preparation: Standard surface preparation procedures such as grit blasting to near white/white metal or acid etching concrete is required for good mechanical bonding of the Normac NR-7S sprayable urethane system. For more details see "Normac Surface Preparation Guide for Urethane Coatings."

Primers:
NR-9500: A two component, single coat air curing solvent based primer.
900R/ECR: A two component, air curing rubber based primer.
EP-100: A two component 100% solids primer for concrete.

 

Coverage
